 A World of Mural Paintings

Let us promote togetherness, awareness,
and welfare of children
Mural Paintings by Dr Abe V Rotor

World Children's Day is celebrated every November 20 to promote international togetherness, global awareness, and the welfare of children. Established in 1954 as Universal Children's Day by the United Nations General Assembly. UNICEF leads the global day of action for and by children

"Take the backseat Cellphone and Mall," these children from the neighborhood seem to tell us, "It's time to be with Nature's company." Living with Nature Center,
San Vicente, Ilocos Sur

All in a row on a floor-to-wall-to-ceiling mural,
these boys enjoy the essence of leisure and time,
communing with nature in a make-believe cathedral,
boys-to-men they shall grow up gentle and sublime.

Participants to an art workshop re-enact a classical  scene in The Three
Musketeers" at the Living with Nature Center  in San Vicente, Ilocos Sur.

Like The Three Musketeers in Dumas' novel,
five boys pledge allegiance to Nature,
"One for all, all for one," for glory and honor,
One Earth! their greatest adventure.

The world is their classroom, and nature is their teacher.

Classroom by the seashore for a break;
sans teacher but the mighty sea
telling stories of adventure and magic,
that set man to seek his destiny.

Wall mural unites two worlds at the author's city residence, QC.

Wildlife and pets - what's the difference,
if reverence for life is the reference?

Now and then mythology comes alive,
in parades and on the stage;
our children must make it survive,
and keep its value to any age

A playground mural delights these children at the

Playground defined in solace,
in a happy children's place.
where life goes on slow pace,
boundless in time and space.

The world of nature in imagery delights this child. QC

Catch the butterflies,
meet the flowing stream,
play with the sunbeam;
but oh, how time flies!

Standing beside huge trees close to the La Mesa reservoir's watershed,
QC, with wall mural of nature at the background is a rare experience
to a city-bred boy.

Trees mark the seasons and years that be,
     its trials, pain, joys and harmony;
If only man, in their shade, look up and see
     God's miracle and divine story.

School sans Walls, Open University,
     or call it On-line Academy,
whatever it really is.  And the teacher
     is Nature - model and master.

"Nature is alive," in children's drawing.

Imagination is more powerful than reason;
     Oh, to a child they are one and same;
Drawing the sun, wind, sea in any season;
     Adventure in art a most treasured game.
