In songs, verses, in gems and dance,
Ethnic tribes to the modern sage,
Atlantis, Gleaners, the Renaissance,
All the same, the Earth's language.
Binding Nature and Man in treaty,
Through time ignored;
Cloaked by progress and enmity,
Nature bleeding by man's sword.
Civilization - what's in a name?
Countless souls ensconced in a village
In a homogenization game;
Good Life rests on a pillage.
The world cries on the loss of living,
While Heaven keeps sublime;
Eternity lives in a Supreme Being,
But never in ones lifetime.

A threesome enjoying the preparation of macapuno. Note: Macapuno is high in oil, it may not be suitable as baby food.
Macapuno meat is soft, it can be grated or simply scooped out and ready to eat. It is best for halo-halo. Or cooked into bucayo or simply sweetened.
Break nut with bolo on the forehead (between the eyes) to get straight and clean halves

Closeup of the meat: the inner part is thick and viscous, while the outer is soft and tender. There are macapuno nuts that are almost filled up with soft meat and less of the viscous liquid.

A Surreal World of Make-Believe

738 DZRB AM Band, 8 to 9 evening class, Monday to Friday
A surreal world of make-believe.
Where have the old familiar pond gone,
Ask the doomed ducks and their offspring -
Oh, art, what is art, when deceived
of reality in a living world,
when fantasy is reality conceived
of beauty in color and word?
Where have the old familiar pond gone,
willows hiding its island and shore,
fish bubbling, splashing in the sun
to greet the day and sky's azure?
Ask the doomed ducks and their offspring -
of what use a pond dies for,
the artist surreal in thoughts and being,
who claims to be the Creator. ~

Closest I could get a photo of the crater with ordinary lens on a Zest airplane October 19, 2011, 2 pm.from Manila to Virac, Catanduanes .
Landscape view, seconds after taking the first photo above.
Surrounding landscapes: forested area, farmlands and settlements.
Beautiful Mayon, what's inside you?
I peeped within distance of your breath,
And a wisp of cloud veiled your beauty,
and oh, the warmth of your hearth.
Wonder if a woman is of your kind
Beautiful when calm and coy;
Within lies her strength, or her ire,
Her fit when wanting of joy. ~

Breathe with Me, Carpet Green

I rest beneath a bough on a sweltering day,
flowing beard and hair hanging like curtain
and carpet cushioning my tired feet and head;
floor, walls and ceiling you make - cool and living.
Breathe with me, breathe with me,carpet green,
catch the passing breeze, filter the dusts and the sky
like your ancestor in the distant past -
the slimy, lowly blue-green that catches the sun
and bubbles oxygen, filling the earth with life,
creatures all, my kin and I now share.
Oh, Good Life - I, in slumber, now dream
of that Paradise once lost – and now to regain;
Even for a while let me in your abode carpet green
and let the world go by - or at the edge of time,
stand still in praise with me to the One unseen.~
