United Nations International Days. Active participation is key to globalization with emphasis on the environmental preservation

                                   United Nations International Days

Active participation is key to globalization with emphasis on the environmental preservation These are the international days currently observed by the United Nations. Actively participating in these celebrations is important in the networking of member countries in our age of globalization. True to the term "global village" people are not only informed of what is happening in the world, but more importantly, become aware of their roles as community members.

Twin Waterfalls According to a Child Artist
Dr Abe V Rotor

Twin Waterfalls by a 6-year old art workshop participant 2017

When was the last time I visited a waterfall?

Yes, it was a twin waterfalls in Pagudpud
near the boundary of Ilocos Norte and Cagayan.
Parallel to each other and separated, the falls
were indeed a twin in height and volume,
Cascading down a ravine, plunging into the sea below,
beneath a massive aqueduct on which I stood.
Thus I could see only the main view of the twin falls;
beneath I simply imagined the view through the mist,
Their waters flowing out into the Babuyan Channel,
round the horn of Luzon, and nothing more.

To a child artist, a twin waterfall is whole and one,
with neither beginning nor end, sky, land, sea
Make a puzzle grownups will never understand;
frankly I don't and perhaps never will,
Unless I am born to be a child again and see
the world in reality and fantasy combined,
Where innocence and joy and imagination
are more powerful than logic and reason.
Where abstract art in its purest and original form
is born, such as this twin waterfalls. ~
