yet autumn, 
leaves golden 
before they fall    
into litter, 

or drift 
on the pond 
blue as the sky;
all seasons 
come as one.

in Vivaldi's baroque
Four Seasons, 
Monet's fading light
and Van Gogh's
unmixed colors -

it's summer here
yet spring, 
fresh as blue ice
in winter 
to the eyes.

It's autumn,
and summer again
in the heart
with the brush
at hand. ~
