Growing habit of the plant

Closeup of the flower. Note three-nail structure of the pistil,
from which the genus Passiflora (passion flower) is derived.
It grows wild on wasteland and the uplands.

The fruit can be seen through a nest-like covering.
Ripe fruits are edible, and are picked by children.
It is the joy and quaintness as a friend,
bearing fruits ripened in netted lair;
in the wild you are tame to the children
picking your manna in festive air.
