The Mekong River, oh, it’s like our Pasig,
Full of boats and ships and monsoon silt
Leading to the sea, and carrying
Black and red tints of distant past,
To tell the world a lesson of humanity.
The Mekong River, oh, it’s like our Pasig.
They run out to sea to meet the world.
