Floating kiapo (Pistia stratiotes) covers the pond, reduces evaporation, moderates temperature, and absorbs unwanted materials (bioremediation).  Kiapo, kangkong (Ipomea aquatica), hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes), among other aquatic plants serve as food and provide an ideal abode of fish, snail, frogs thus keeping the pond's stability. Note net cover to ward off marauding kingfisher (salaksak Ilk), and to keep off leaves and debris.

Visual aids to outdoor tours and lectures.

Native kuhol (Pomacea maculata), distinguished from the destructive exotic golden kuhol (Pomacea caniculata)

Guests, especially children, find leisure and peace around the garden pond.
