Than be a part of seasons rolling?
The first leaf, the last rose of summer,
Monsoon and frogs in slumber -
Be it at Acadie or on Walden Pond,
Or on the battleground of Basilan,
On the golden prairies or on Mount Saint Paul,
Miracle comes and it comes to all.
The miracle that unfolds a new leaf
At sunrise until its crest,
Ripens it however life be brief
As the sun comes down to rest.
