We Travel Together but Why

By Dr. Abe V. Rotor

To where eagles dare, so do I,
On rocks shrouded by the sky;
On currents of ill winds they fly,
And I, sans compass but an eye.

These lords look down from up high,
While I look into the blue sky;
To each other searching eye to eye;
We travel together, but why?

Soon beyond the pass I sigh,
Relieved by the great birds’ cry,
Past Prometheus Bound Isle,
Leaving the weak and shy.
